Much of mathematics in junior schools is recorded on squared paper.
The measurement mat takes that one step further, to a hands and feet on mat to motivate and engage all students, but especially those who relate to learning best through a Bodily/Kinesthetic style.
All strands of the Mathematics syllabus have some concepts which are well suited to demonstration on the measurement mat.
